The bulb is intended for original xenon headlights requiring D1R bulbs (xenon headlights with lens). No modifications to the installation are required. It has a perfectly set focal length and voltage plug characteristic for D1R bulbs. It can only be used with a D1R xenon ballast. These bulbs have a built-in igniter.
