Vipow gel battery 6 V / 7 AhGel batteries have become an alternative to classic lead-acid batteries. Unlike the latter, gel models are maintenance-free batteries. This means they do not require electrolyte replenishment. Their advantages include a sealed housing and electrolyte in gel form. This guarantees no leakage, allowing the battery to be stored in any position and making it more shock-resistant.
Gel battery durabilityOne of the greatest advantages of gel batteries is their lifespan. Among available types, this kind has the longest life, as properly used it can last even several years. Importantly, gel batteries also have greater resistance to variable and extreme weather conditions.

Gel battery selectionProper dimensions are not everything. When choosing a battery, pay attention to its capacity – it should not be more than 110% nor less than 90% of the capacity recommended for the device you plan to power. Voltage is also important and must be very close to the recommended value (+/-0.2 V).
Gel battery applicationsGel batteries are used in motorcycles, golf carts, and lawn mowers. They are also used in emergency power supplies, photovoltaic installations, alarm systems, and electric toys. Choose a charger for the gel batteryTo ensure proper charger function and avoid battery damage, the current and voltage must be appropriately matched. These values vary during different charging stages, so it is advisable to choose an automatic charger that adjusts the charging current and voltage and switches off when the battery is fully charged.
