When selecting a battery, pay attention to its capacity – it should not be more than 110% nor less than 90% of the capacity recommended for the device you plan to power. The output voltage is also important and must be very close to the recommended value (+/-0.2 V). Applications of gel batteries Gel batteries are used in motorcycles, golf carts, and lawnmowers. They are also used in uninterruptible power supplies, photovoltaic installations, alarm systems, and electric toys. These values vary during different charging stages, so it is advisable to choose an automatic charger that adjusts the charging current and voltage accordingly and switches off when the battery is fully charged.
