Engine-building game
Underground Empire is a standalone card game set in the Settlers world. It features engine building, intuitive rules, beautiful illustrations, and very enjoyable gameplay full of chain reactions and inter-card connections. Expand your mine, use abilities of six factions, advance on Progress tracks, and defeat opponents by points!

Mine construction
Players build their mines by playing cards below the surface board, expanding the mine horizontally and vertically with subsequent cards.

Chain reactions
Each new card activates itself and cards above it, triggering a chain reaction of actions. Combos and connections vary depending on where you place the new card.

Progress boards
Players advance on Progress boards during mine expansion. Three boards are randomly chosen before the game, each adding a different strategic element.

Bonuses and combos
Advancing on Progress tracks grants bonuses that help develop the mine, activate card connections, and create better combos.

Replayability
Over 150 cards, 6 different Progress tracks, and 6 unique factions provide incredible replayability.

Fast gameplay
Play in 45 minutes even with five players – no waiting here, rounds are played simultaneously!

6 factions
Cards belong to 6 factions – Scots, Egyptians, Atlanteans, Barbarians, Japanese, and Romans. Each faction offers different strategies!

Combinations
You can use cards from different factions in your mine to create the most efficient combos!
