Checking lighting before travel can prevent police stops or fines! Usage: One side of the tester is for checking the trailer plug, the other for diagnosing the vehicle socket. PLUG TEST (TRAILER): Connect the plug to the tester. Press the yellow button on the side. If the indicator lights GREEN, the installation is OK. If it lights RED, the installation is DAMAGED or a bulb is BURNED OUT. SOCKET TEST: Connect the tester to the vehicle socket. Turn on a light, e.g., brake or indicator. Press the yellow button. If the socket is OK, the active light indicator will light GREEN. If the socket is DAMAGED (or installation faulty), the indicator remains RED. SPECIFICATIONS: Designed for 13-pin plugs and sockets (ISO 11446). Powered by 9V battery (not included). NOTE 1: Due to low load of LED lamps, not suitable for LED-based trailer lighting.
