Chronicles of Avel Castle: New Tales is the first major expansion for the family hero game. Besides an alternative monster replacing the Monster, it introduces 3 other universal modules you can add to any game, plus 3 adventure scenarios with new rules and altered victory conditions.

What does the expansion add?
A story campaign “Shards of Perfect Evil” ideal for fans of fantasy worlds and adventure games, including 3 scenarios that slightly change gameplay by adding special objectives to win. Played sequentially, they form a coherent story but can also be played standalone.
4 universal modules that enrich gameplay with interesting challenges even for experienced Avel heroes. These include the Moon Beast (alternative version of the base game’s Monster), Cruel Hunters (new monster type hunting magical spirits), and the elven royal couple Titania and Oberon (can be added together or separately, each offering powerful magical support).
A special almanac by Janek Sielicki with atmospheric introductions to each campaign scenario and all modules.

What are Chronicles of Avel Castle?
A cooperative family board game where players become heroes responsible for saving a magical land. Players create unique characters with special equipment and explore a modular board world. Along the journey, they face dangers to fight, earning rewards like new weapons, armor, potions, and gold. These help prepare for the final battle against the Monster threatening Avel.
