Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game is an exciting and easy-to-learn two-player game that brings the space war straight to your table. Each player takes the side of the conflict: one commands the Empire forces, the other leads the Rebellion. Throughout the game, both will continuously upgrade their decks by purchasing more powerful ships and recruiting new units to increase firepower and gain the advantage that will decide the conflict’s outcome.
How does it work?
The goal is to destroy 3 opponent bases – the first to do so wins. To achieve this, you will use units and ships characteristic of your faction, as well as neutral characters who may join your side.
Each player starts with a dedicated faction deck of 10 cards. They are not very powerful, and most have no effect other than generating resources. Gathering resources allows you to buy more cards and build a stronger deck round by round.
The key to victory is developing and executing the right strategy. Many factors influence the final result: buying the best cards, choosing bases to station on, skillfully selecting attack targets, gathering resources, and trying to tip the balance of the Force in your favor.
