SD.KFZ.124 Wespe Building Blocks 860 Pieces
Something long-awaited by fans of historical sets from COBI. Joining the family of vehicles on the Panzer II tank chassis is the Wespe self-propelled gun. It was an excellent hybrid of a proven chassis and an effective 10.5 cm leFH 18 howitzer. The Executive Edition model consists of 855 elements and is designed in a 1:28 modeling scale. A distinguishing feature of the set is the colorful camouflage contrasting with the gray of standard Panzer II tanks, prepared in early-war gray colors. The blocks feature high-quality prints that do not wear off during play. They depict sand-green camouflage, vision ports, markings, and structural elements such as fans and vents. The model has a removable block engine and a white nameplate with the set’s name. The set includes exceptionally interesting figures: an artilleryman and two paratroopers. All figures have tropical camouflage with strong sandy accents, indicating that the depicted vehicle fought on the Apennine Peninsula!
Sd.Kfz. 124 Wespe was a German self-propelled gun from WWII, designed on the Panzer II light tank chassis. It was armed with a 10.5 cm leFH 18/2 howitzer, making it effective artillery support for German armored units. Wespe entered service in 1943 and was used on the Eastern and Western fronts. Its mobility allowed quick position changes, protecting it from enemy counterattacks. Produced in limited numbers, it gained recognition for effectiveness and reliability as mobile artillery.
