Description

Become a paleontologist and excavate the bones of a prehistoric stegosaurus that lived thousands of years ago. The set includes a plaster block hiding dinosaur bones and excavation tools. After finding and cleaning all bones, you can assemble a full skeleton about 17 cm long. The included cardboard display card contains many interesting facts about the stegosaurus.
DID YOU KNOW: The name stegosaurus means “roofed lizard.” It was named because scientists initially thought the plates on its back overlapped like roof tiles. Although the stegosaurus could weigh over 4.5 tons, it had a very small brain (about the size of a walnut). The plates on its back were bony scales like those covering crocodiles. They were attached to the skin, not the skeleton.
CONTENTS: plaster block with hidden dinosaur bones, excavation tools, cardboard display card, soft wax for skeleton reinforcement. Adult supervision recommended.
