DID YOU KNOW: The name brachiosaurus means “arm lizard.” It was named because its front legs were much longer than its hind legs. The first brachiosaurus was discovered in 1900 in Colorado, USA. However, the best-preserved fossils were found in Tanzania, Africa, in 1909. The brachiosaurus had sharp, chisel-shaped teeth used to bite fruits, leaves, and cones from tall tree crowns. These dinosaurs could not chew; they swallowed stones to grind food in their stomachs.
CONTENTS: plaster block with hidden dinosaur bones, excavation tools, cardboard display card, soft wax for skeleton reinforcement. Adult supervision recommended.
