PZL.23 Karaś
The PZL.23 Karaś was one of the primary bombers of the Polish Air Force during the September Campaign of 1939. Designed by the Polish Aviation Works (PZL), it entered service in 1936. The aircraft accommodated three crew members: pilot, observer, and gunner. Armament included machine guns and bombs. Although advanced at introduction, it quickly became outdated due to rapidly evolving aviation technology.
This 1939 Polish sky legend is faithfully recreated with COBI construction blocks. The detailed model is designed at 1:32 scale, matching other planes in the Historical Collection. A new block shaped like the distinctive cockpit canopy was created for this set, fitting three pilot figures. The plane features printed historical markings, including on the underside of the wings. The entire underside is made from a new light blue block color. Besides machine guns, the PZL.23 Karaś is equipped with attachable bombs. Pilot figures wear characteristic leather suits with back prints! The set also includes an attractive block printed with a map showing Poland’s situation in early 1939. The impressive bomber model can be displayed on movable wheels or a block display stand with transparent elements. The set is completed with a nameplate printed with the air force checkerboard and model name. This wonderful historical set commemorates Polish aviators and showcases military technology of the era.
