The appearance of the Warszawa 223 in Poland in 1964 was a major event in the domestic automotive market. Due to its above-average suspension comfort, the car was popular among taxi drivers of the time. Initially, the model was designated as 203, but after a protest from Peugeot (which reserved three-digit numbers with zero in the middle for its cars), it was changed to 223. In the PRL Collection, the model is available in four colors.
