Why do you need NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX? The NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX power adapter powers the dashcam (or other device) when the ignition is off (e.g., in parking mode).

NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX protects the vehicle battery from complete discharge by monitoring remaining runtime and voltage. The adapter automatically cuts power to the dashcam when battery voltage drops to a set value or after a user-defined time (whichever comes first). Additionally, NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX protects your DVR from voltage spikes.
