In Daitoshi, as an influential magnate, you develop industrial power—manage a factory, exploit natural resources, expand the city, and create epochal inventions. But nature spirits Ykai easily anger. Your goal is prestige and wealth through innovation, trade, and co-creating a monumental Mega-Machine while maintaining balance between progress and environmental impact.

Welcome to Daitoshi—a city of progress where steam-powered inventions arise faster than ever. Development has a price: forests are diminished, rivers flow slower, but city expansion is paramount, right?!
Your Factory
Consists of 3 buildings where you build and develop inventions. During Production phase, use steam to activate buildings and gain bonuses if production is triggered.
Steam
Gather water from the river and coal from land areas to power your steam engine. Exploiting surroundings also provides new workers for the city.
City
A modular rondel where your Magnate moves, visiting districts and sending workers to Workshops, activating actions that advance the city.
Expansion
Build new city districts, creating jobs in Workshops and appeasing Yokai spirits with new temples.
Electrification
Each district can be electrified. This new technology upgrades local Workshops, grants prestige points, bonuses, reputation, and powers the Red Bus.
Environment
Exploitation angers Yokai spirits. Gift environmental temples to advance on River, Forest, Mountain, and Underground tracks, earning victory points.
Mechanics
Industrialization and ecological consequences theme integrates with worker placement, rondel movement, and engine building mechanics.
Replayability
Modular components provide vast replayability. Strategic depth allows satisfying action combos and multiple victory paths.
