How to give someone a clue that is accurate, unique, and consists of only one word? Soon you’ll have a chance to find out!
One Word is a cooperative association game. During play, a word is drawn for which clues must be created. But beware: each player can use only one word!
How it works:
– The chosen person sits on one side of the table as the guesser. The other players give clues.
– When the word to be conveyed is selected, each participant (except the clue giver) secretly writes their one-word clue on a special card. Important: the clue must be only one word. When deciding what to write, consider what others might choose because repeated words are discarded before the guesser sees them.
– Clues are first revealed to the group; players jointly eliminate duplicates and invalid clues.
– The remaining clues are shown to the guesser, who has exactly one attempt to guess.
