500 daN straps, i.e., ERGO straps differ from standard 50 mm ratchet straps in size and ratchet design. The larger, more durable ratchet with a longer lever allows achieving better strap tension parameters, meaning stronger load pressing to the ground and thus more effective immobilization. The longer lever and stronger ratchet enable tightening the strap more firmly with the same force than standard straps. The 500 daN value means the load will be pressed to the ground with a force of 500 daN, i.e., 500 kg. The STF value of standard 50 mm ratchets ranges from 300 to 400 daN (depending on the manufacturer).
