The sensor is used for automatic control of lighting or other electrical devices, allowing energy savings. Lighting is activated by a PIR motion sensor operating in infrared. It enables switching on the light in response to movement of a heat-emitting object. The built-in light sensor allows the sensor function to operate during daylight.
