In recent years, several thousand LTE stations operating in the 800 MHz band have been established in Poland. The end of the TV band is directly adjacent to the LTE 800 MHz band. This may cause interference in terrestrial digital TV reception. On the TV screen, the image may freeze, and colored stripes and squares may appear.
The MCTV-855A antenna, thanks to the LTE filter, cuts unwanted signals above 790 MHz, making it resistant to the described LTE network interference.
The antenna is equipped with an additional dipole allowing reception of VHF channels, enabling reception of the 170-230 MHz band, which allows reception of MUX 8, broadcasting new programs and digital DAB+ radio.
