M3 Stuart The M3 Stuart (2-in-1 designation) from the European and Pacific theaters! Stuart was an American light tank from World War II. The British service name “Stuart” comes from Confederate General JEB Stuart from the Civil War. Stuarts were first used in combat during the North African campaign. About 170 units were used by British forces during Operation Crusader (November 18 – December 30, 1941). Due to lack of worthy opponents, Stuarts were also deployed in the Pacific theater!
