MILITARY COMPASS WITH ROTATING LIMBUS (rotating ring with degree scale for azimuth determination on maps and 36° scale with half degrees). The rotating limbus allows precise direction determination, enabling easy course setting and tracking. Serrated edges of the azimuth ring facilitate use with gloves.
ADDITIONAL AIMING DEVICES – the compass features a notch and a thin thread acting as a front sight. Under the notch is a small magnifier for precise angle reading from the compass dial. The compass housing includes a lid with a longitudinal slot through which a taut thin thread runs. Inside is a sighting device.
FLOATING DIAL – the key element is a floating dial with a magnetic needle. The needle is clearly visible, especially useful for night navigation. The dial floats in antifreeze liquid, ensuring stability and smooth movement, minimizing shock and vibration effects. This allows the needle to quickly and accurately point to magnetic north, essential for effective navigation.
HOUSING – robust metal housing. The compass design allows reading and navigation without opening. Instruments are protected when closed.
