The block model of Gneisenau features high-quality prints that do not wear off during use. Noteworthy is the intricately reproduced hull shape and attention to detail. The model has many movable parts such as propellers, rudders, rotating turrets, and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. The set also includes a very stable and aesthetic black display stand and a white nameplate with the ship’s name. Once assembled, the ship looks impressive, attracts attention, and will surely become a decoration for your collection, living room, or office! Express your passion and build history, block by block!
Gneisenau was a German battleship from World War II, commissioned on May 21, 1938. Both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were a new type of German battleships, characterized by larger size, speed, and more powerful armament. They were built in response to the French naval buildup. Gneisenau participated in many combat actions, including the famous Operation Berlin in 1941, where it proved effective. It was sunk on March 28, 1945, in Gdynia to block the port.
