Greenmill GB6980C Rain Detector for Controller

Rain detector designed to work with irrigation controllers with max voltage 24V AC to prevent unnecessary watering during rainy weather. Detector has five head position settings. Compatible with most 24V controllers e.g., GB6964C, GB6968C, GB6991C, GBK3504, GBK3506 with normally closed (NC) type connections and with GB6980C controller version with mini-jack socket (models from 2017) and GB6981C (all versions). Does not work with controllers with normally open detector input without cable modification from NC to NO. Operates as a mechanical switch activated by moisture-sensitive specially prepared spacer discs. During rain and several hours after, controller contacts change position and remain open. Contact position change controls irrigation controller or valves by cutting off power supply.
