Here is a dynamic and cheerful game that will help you strengthen memory, dexterity, and associative skills while remaining great fun!
In Cortex for Kids, from 2 to 6 players compete by quickly guessing answers to 8 types of challenges that develop different brain functions. For correct answers, players receive puzzle pieces, and the first to collect all 4 parts and complete their brain picture wins!
Don’t wait! Gather friends and challenge them to a duel where your minds will clash! Cortex for Kids has rules and cards designed especially for the youngest players, remaining an attractive challenge for older ones too! 🙂
How does it work?
– Lay out 10 texture cards on the table. For 30 seconds, everyone looks at, touches, and tries to memorize them. Then set them aside, shuffle the test cards, and place them face down in the center.
– The youngest player flips the top card from the deck so everyone can read it.
– When a player thinks they know the answer, they immediately cover the card with their hand and shout the answer!
– If correct, they take the (face-down) card. If a player collects 2 cards with the same back, they exchange them for one of the 4 puzzle pieces.
– If wrong, shuffle the card back into the deck and start the next round. The player who erred cannot answer in the next turn!
Eight types of challenges to stimulate your senses!
– Memory – cover the card and name 4 things you noticed on it.
– Maze – cover the card and help the character find the way to the goal!
– Odd one out – cover the card and say which element doesn’t fit.
– Coordination – cover the card with one hand and touch the indicated body part with a finger of the other hand!
– Pair – cover the card and say which image appears twice.
– Frequency – cover the card and say which element appears most often.
– Reasoning – cover the card and say which shape fits the empty space.
– Challenge – the player who solved the previous challenge must close their eyes and, relying only on touch, recognize the texture of one of the special cards imitating surfaces like basketball, moss, leather, or other materials.
