A chess game is played by two players on a board called a chessboard, consisting of 64 equally sized square fields, alternating light and dark. It is placed between two opponents so that the corner square to the right of each player is white. Opponents have sets of pieces in different colors. Checkers is a board game for two players. The game is played on the dark squares of the board using 12 white and 12 black pieces. The goal is to capture as many opponent’s pieces as possible or block them so the opponent cannot make any move.
