Instructions:
Connect the adapter to the USB or USB-C port in the car
The car screen will display information about which Bluetooth device to connect to
Turn on Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone and connect to the adapter
Grant permission for device synchronization
Key information for Android Auto connection:
Android phone version 11 or higher
Wireless Android Auto connection enabled (can be checked in phone app settings)
At first connection in the car, select connection with CarPlay (the device is recognized as such by the car multimedia unit)
Additional options:
To access additional device options, connect to the device’s WiFi network (usually named after the car brand – password is “12345678”).
From the device settings access, you can e.g.:
Change display resolution
Enable/disable synchronization
Enable/disable GPS
Enable/disable Backstage Mode
Adjust start delay, frame rate
Reset device, update
If problems occur, check the above settings or reset the device to factory settings.
Carlinkit is supported by about 98% of multimedia units in cars where CarPlay / Android Auto is supported via cable.
Note! The adapter does not add CarPlay / Android Auto functionality to cars that do not have this system. It only enables wireless connection instead of wired in cars with CarPlay / Android Auto.
