The presence of LTE transmission at 800 MHz frequency may negatively affect DVB-T signal quality due to too strong a signal causing interference and disrupting proper terrestrial digital TV reception. Under such conditions, single incorrect pixels or significant distortions of image and sound may appear on the TV screen. The stronger the interference, the more often the image will freeze or even disappear completely from the receiver screen. Such problems may occur suddenly, even with slight deterioration of DVB-T signal reception conditions.
We can effectively combat LTE 800 MHz interference using so-called LTE filters. Such a filter effectively suppresses signals in the 790 MHz to 862 MHz range, covering the full LTE 800 MHz band. A better solution is to use external directional antennas with built-in LTE filters. The new BLOW antenna series is equipped with an LTE filter that eliminates interference from terrestrial digital TV signals caused by transmitters or devices using LTE technology. This is ensured by the SMT 4G PROTECT circuit, which effectively protects against interference.
