Midland introduces a new, complete line of handheld radios XT, operating in the publicly accessible PMR-446 standard. The offer includes 5 models and 2 suitcase sets enriched with additional accessories. The line includes both very attractively priced models like Midland X10 and X30, as well as advanced functionality models such as Midland X50, X60, and X70. The Adventure versions of Midland X50 and X70 are suitcases with 2 radios, headset microphones, chargers, and batteries. All radios have carefully designed housings, attractive packaging, and except for the entry-level X10, feature USB standard charging. RANGE The maximum range depends on terrain conditions and is greatest in open, flat areas. Any obstacles such as trees, hills, buildings limit it. Radio waves propagate particularly poorly inside complex metal structures and inside cars. Average range in cities among buildings and obstacles does not exceed 1 or 2 km. In sparsely built areas with single trees, achievable range is 4-6 km. In open spaces without obstacles between antennas, such as mountains, connections over 10 km and more occur.
