The parking sensor operates on the sonar principle – emitting ultrasonic waves that, after reflecting off an obstacle, allow determining the distance between the car and the obstacle. While reversing, the device correctly detects obstacles in the vehicle’s path and warns the driver with a sound signal (appropriate to the distance from the obstacle) or via the LED display.
