Wirbelwind was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun used during WWII. Based on the Panzer IV tank chassis, it was armed with a quadruple 2 cm Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun. Wirbelwind could fire rapidly at air targets, providing anti-aircraft support for ground units. It was part of a broader family of anti-aircraft vehicles used by German forces in various combat roles. Production began under difficult wartime conditions in 1944. The exact number produced is unknown.
The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind EXECUTIVE EDITION model consists of 1195 construction blocks and is designed at 1:28 scale. Unlike the standard Panzer IV tank edition, this set features many structural changes. The tank turret is replaced by a shielded quadruple anti-aircraft gun. We also added plant camouflage, which combined with the late-war tank paint looks simply amazing! The tank chassis is slightly modified. The gun rotates 360 degrees and moves up/down. Removing the turret reveals the interior. Under the service hatch is a block engine, suitable for display next to the model. The set includes a detailed Luftwaffe anti-aircraft soldier figure. The set is completed with a black nameplate showing the set name and scale.
