The Lying Scribbler game (royal edition)

Is it a cockroach? A toad? Or maybe the royal card? Is the opponent telling the truth or bluffing? Karaluszek Kłamczuszek (Royal Edition) is a game about animals nobody likes. A key role here is bluffing skills and observing other players. Clever cheating will let you outsmart opponents and push as many cards onto them as possible.

During their turn, a player plays one face-down card, announcing the animal’s name, but it doesn’t have to be the one actually on the card. They can also say it’s the king, i.e., a card with an animal wearing a crown. They slide the card to another player, who has two options: peek at the card and pass it on with their own declaration (possibly naming a different animal and not necessarily telling the truth), or risk guessing whether the player is truthful or lying. If they guess wrong, they must take the card and place it face-up before them. If correct, the cheater takes the card.

Royal cards are more difficult. For them, the true declaration is not only “king” but also the animal on the card. Additionally, this edition includes special cards: one that is everything but not the king, and another that is nothing (everything the player says is false). Everyone tries to push cards onto others because the first player to collect four cards with the same animal loses.
