White Castle: Matcha Game (PL)
Geishas, tea, and green dice
The Matcha expansion adds a new location to White Castle: the teahouse. It’s an additional arena of court intrigues in the fight for daimyo’s favor. The teahouse with a new bridge and dice, space for Geishas (a new pawn type), player boards, and ways to use each of the few moves in the game is an integral part of the precise game mechanism. Discover how the board haiku was expanded!
About White Castle
White Castle is a Euro board game with an unprecedented condensation of gameplay. Send your workers to Himeji court, place dice to perform actions, and build your palette of possibilities so each move triggers a chain of effects. You have a limited number of turns—do everything to squeeze victory from them!
Geishas
Use the new pawn type, Geishas, in the new palace section—the Tea Garden. Here you gain resources and actions and at the game’s end points depending on where your Geishas reached.
Teahouse
Lead Geishas along the path to the Teahouse or the Pond Viewpoint to admire Water Lilies. On their way, use the new resource—a whisk for preparing green tea.
Bridge
Use green dice to activate the green line on your new Estate board and action spaces outside the Palace walls. Near the green bridge is the Pond Viewpoint for Geishas.
More turns
With the expansion, players make 12 moves instead of 9. More paths to victory but still the legendary short blanket syndrome!
Intuitive integration
How to use the expansion? Simply shuffle all expansion cards into the appropriate decks, replace player boards with new ones, add the main board extension and green bridge, and play!
Integral part of gameplay
Expansion mechanics are woven into the base game structure to expand options and choices while maintaining the game’s compact nature.
