PRL Warsaw 223 vehicle, gray

In 1961, three prototypes of the Warszawa with a sedan body type were constructed. Changes compared to previous versions were limited to the rear part of the body and the roof design. Two benches covered with skai leather and fabric provided high travel comfort, with padding made of compressed sea grass and springs. From 1970, a fully synchronized four-speed manual gearbox with a floor-mounted lever was installed. These equipped models were mainly exported (Colombian market). Initially, this model was designated as 203, but after a protest from Peugeot (which had reserved three-digit numbers with zero in the middle for its cars), it was changed to 223.
