The countdown begins, and with the start of the cars, a loud roar cuts through the air. This is the start of the Grand Prix! As you enter the first corner, dust and wind hit your helmet. You push the engine to the limit and almost go off track, but grip the steering wheel tighter and slide through, still in first place. But to keep it, you’ll have to test your car’s limits. Will your race car withstand maximum stress? Or will the engine fail on the last corner?
Turbo is an exciting board game that puts you in the driver’s seat of chaotic 1960s races. Its main mechanic is simple and intuitive card management. Choosing the right upgrades lets your race car corner better, cool properly, and maintain the highest possible speed. Ultimately, it all depends on your skills!
How does it work?
Players race around the track for a set number of laps to determine the best driver.
At the start of each round, players can shift gears, affecting how many cards they can play. Gear changes can be gradual or use a special turbo card.
Cards control the car’s speed—the vehicle moves forward on the track by the sum of card values played.
Speed enthusiasts usually want to play high-value cards quickly and often. Racing requires skillful track navigation. Pay attention to speed limits on corners; otherwise, the car may overheat.
Reckless driving can end off-track. If you want a podium spot, control your speed and care for your engine!
