Card battle on a board? Try TOP TRUMPS Battle Mat in Paw Patrol edition! Cards feature your favorite heroes with point values in categories: Carefree, Skills, Courage, Leadership, and TOP TRUMPS ranking. Cards also include each pup’s file – breed, vehicle, and gadgets in the hero’s backpack. Play cards on a convenient board, and don’t forget ability tokens during the game!
Game rules:
Each player draws one random card and checks the TOP TRUMPS ranking. The player with the highest value starts the round. In case of a tie, opponents redraw. Once order is set, cards are returned to the deck. After shuffling, players draw three cards and two tokens. Opponents keep their values secret. The game starts when the first player chooses a card and places it face down on one of the 5 categories on the TOP TRUMPS board. Opponents alternately fill in the board fields. When three categories are filled, reveal the cards. The player with the best score in the category wins and takes both cards. In case of a tie, cards are set aside. The pool goes to the player who wins the next category. The game ends when a player wins seven battles.
Ability tokens:
Rules are rules, but gameplay needs variety! TOP TRUMPS Battle Mat includes 5 unique tokens representing skills of favorite Paw Patrol heroes. Each badge can be used at the start of a turn.
Chase Badge – Opponent must exchange one of their cards (randomly chosen) with the next card in the deck.
Skye Badge – Opponent must reveal one of their cards.
Marshall Badge – Opponent must play the first card randomly without checking stats.
Rubble Badge – You gain priority in choosing the category.
Everest Badge – Exchange one of your cards with an opponent’s card (randomly chosen).
