Smartphones Inc. is an economic simulation game where you run a company producing advanced technology devices. Your goal is to sell technology in various markets to achieve the greatest benefits and lead your company to become the leader in smartphone production.
The game lasts 5 rounds, each divided into 8 phases indicated on the board on the Phase track, guiding you through company management. The main game mechanics are an interesting action selection and area control. Your decisions include choosing production volume, researching new technologies, company development, expansion into new geographic markets, influencing prices, and selecting product markets.

Action planning
The main game element is the Planning Sheets, which you use each round to direct business activities. The action selection mechanic is one of the most interesting features of the game, distinguishing Smartphones Inc. The sheets are designed to be layered, losing some options but gaining others. With two double-sided overlapping sheets, players get a mini-game within the game. Players plan their actions behind screens, in secret.
