Become a paleontologist and excavate the bones of a prehistoric mammal that lived thousands of years ago. Assemble the bones according to the diagram to create an impressive skeleton of a large herbivore. The set includes a plaster block hiding mammoth bones and excavation tools. After finding and cleaning all bones, you can assemble the full skeleton about 21 cm tall. The included cardboard display card contains many interesting facts about extinct species.

Did you know…
In 1977, miners working in a gold mine in Siberia discovered a frozen young woolly mammoth. The animal was only six months old when it died 40,000 years ago.
A fully frozen mammoth was also found in Siberia in 1900. The creature still had 14 kilograms of undigested food in its stomach, including moss, grass, and pine needles.
Mammoths had very strong, flat-ended teeth resistant to cracking and wear. This was necessary because mammoths fed mainly on tough grass with abrasive properties.

The set includes more interesting facts!
